EMMINEM & JAY-Z COME TOGTHER ONCE AGAIN...

"You actually get lost doing it," says Jay-Z, who has played the game. It creates "a DJ's universe," he says.

In addition to single-DJ action, two players can compete or play cooperatively. Special mixes will let players use the Guitar Hero controller. The game spans hip-hop, electronica, R&B, soul and pop/rock with songs by 50 Cent, Beastie Boys, KRS-One, Blondie, N.E.R.D., Gorillaz and David Bowie. Superstar DJs such as DJ Shadow, DJ Z-Trip and DJ AM will contribute, too.

"You are going to get over 100 songs from 80 artists and 80 brand-new mixes that have never been heard before, including one with Eminem and Jay-Z (together)," says Guitar Hero president and CEO Dan Rosensweig.

"This is a game I can see myself actually playing," Eminem says. "DJ'ing is fundamental to rap music, so it's a great fit."

BLACK COP GETS KILLED BY WHITE COP IN NY!!

The Daily News has reported:

An off-duty rookie cop chasing a suspected car thief in East Harlem with his gun drawn was shot and killed Thursday night when an officer mistook him for a criminal.

"Police! Stop! Drop it!" cops from the 25th Precinct shouted at Omar Edwards, 25.

As he started to turn toward him - the gun still in his hand - an officer opened fire, sources said.

The officer involved in the shooting is white, Edwards is black and had no visible NYPD identification on him, sources said. It was unclear if Edwards identified himself.

"This is always a black cop's fear, that he'd be mistaken for a [suspect]," a source said.

His father couldn't fathom how such a fatal mistake could happen.

"If a police officer sees someone with a gun, you don't just fire without asking questions or trying to apprehend the person," said Ricardo Edwards, 72. "If the person was firing at a police officer, I understand."

"It's a horror for everyone involved. No one comes out unscathed," a police source said.

One dejected cop said Edwards "just became a new father. He took some personal time so he could take the baby to North Carolina to meet his folks."

Edwards' mother, Natalia Harding, said her son had just married his girlfriend, Danielle Glen, last month at City Hall. They have two kids - 11/2-year-old Xavier and 7-month-old Keanua.

"I'm hurt that they took my son. That's my baby they took from me. And all I got was his last hug and kiss when he went to work \[tonight\] and he said, 'Ma, I'll see you when I come home,' " Natalia Harding said between sobs Friday morning at her Brooklyn apartment.

NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Edwards, who had been on the force less than two years and worked out of a Manhattan housing unit, had left work about 10:30 p.m.

He was in street clothes as he walked toward his car parked about a block away on Second Ave. between E. 124th and E. 125th St., where he saw Miguel Santiago rummaging through the vehicle. The driver's side window was busted out.

Edwards grabbed Santiago, who managed to slip out of his sweater and escape Edwards' grip, Kelly said.

Gun drawn, Edwards gave chase.

At the same time, three plainclothes officers in an unmarked car saw Edwards running down the street. The car made a U-turn, and one of the officers, a white cop with more than four years on the job, got out and fired six shots - hitting Edwards twice, once in the left arm and once in the chest, Kelly said.

Edwards did not fire his weapon.

Maalik Lane, 20, who was walking nearby, said suddenly he heard shots.

"More than five, boom, boom, boom, boom. Then there were just a lot of police blocking the streets."

Mayor Bloomberg, at a press conference at Harlem Hospital, said he expressed his sorrow to Edwards' wife.

"Nothing that you can ever say will bring back the deceased. He was there protecting the rest of us. We will find out what happened," Bloomberg said. "This is a tragedy. We'll see what we can learn from it."

Cops discovered Edwards was one of them when rescue crews cut open his shirt to treat the bleeding and saw a police academy shirt. They then searched his pockets and found his shield, sources said.

Investigators said the anti-crime cops arrested the car-theft suspect Santiago.

Edwards' mother said her son's dream was to be a cop.

"Ever since he was a little kid, he wanted to be a police officer. Something I didn't want, but it was his choice and he loved what he was doing. He loved helping other people," Harding said, noting she always worried about his safety.

DRAKE STILL A FREE AGENT???

The most buzzed about artist of 2009 -- and 2008, if you were up on it early -- is denying recent rumors that he's been scooped up by Universal Motown. Actor-turned-rapper Drake took to his Twitter page to dismiss the recent rumors that he signed a deal with Universal Records.

The 'Best I Ever Had' rapper, who's currently linked to Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint, hopped on the phone with Green Lantern and revealed that he hasn't put the pen to paper as of yet.

"It's patience man ... that's the key. The more patient you are the more opportunities come your way," Drake told Lantern.

Drake went on to dismiss claims that he acted as ghostwriter for his "mentor" Lil Wayne. "To say I write for Wayne is kind of a ridiculous claim by anybody. We bounce ideas off each other which is why he's my mentor."

Drake's mentor better watch out. The much sought after free agent is being hailed as the "next big thing," purely off the success of his 'Comeback Season' mixtape. "I just made a body of work and the songs had a life of their own," Drake says of 'Successful' and 'Best I Ever Had,' which has over 16 million plays on his official MySpace page.

CT NIGHTCLUB BOUNCER GET MURDERED!!

WATERBURY — Police arrested a Meriden man late Wednesday because they say he passed a handgun to the triggerman who shot and killed a well-liked bouncer at a Lakewood Road bar over the weekend.

According to court documents, Alan Nerbonne, 21, of Westwood Knoll, Meriden, was causing such a ruckus in Swizzle Stix that he had to be tossed from the drinking spot at least three times by 27-year-old bouncer Lawrence "Superman" Mates.

Nerbonne was charged with a single count of aiding and abetting in Mates' murder. He didn't pull the trigger, police say, but he gave the gun to 18-year-old Andre West, who fired a point-blank shot into Mates' head, killing the father of two daughters and four stepchildren.

A birthday party for a 22-year-old Meriden man was going on Sunday night at the bar, which is attached to Lakewood Lanes, a popular bowling alley.

Multiple people who saw Nerbonne that night told police he was drunk and out of control. After Mates, a three-year employee, tossed him from the bar for his unruly behavior, Nerbonne sneaked back inside, which caused Mates to pick him up and carry him out of the bar a final time.

It's unclear exactly when Nerbonne transferred the gun to West, but witnesses said he went to a car parked near the bar to retrieve the firearm and then passed it to West.

PIRATING REALITY TV????

The following story really isn't about the fact that some dude is suing reality king Mark Burnett over his short lived show "Pirate Master" -- the REAL story is that someone actually wants the credit for creating that piece of crap. Some guy named James Papa says the show idea was all his -- and that after he "created" it back in 2003 and registered it with the US Copyright Office, that damn scallywag Burnett plundered all of his brilliant ideas -- like having a reality show on a pirate ship and making eliminated contestants "walk the plank." Burnett's show aired on CBS in 2007.

In the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Papa is demanding no less than $2,000,000 for his trouble ... unless it goes into arrrrrrrrrrrbitration.
